Abigail Whitney is an actor, stage director, artistic director and artist educator with Soulpepper Theatre Company. Whitney developed her artistic practice with renowned Canadian theatre professionals from the National Voice Intensive, Soulpepper Theatre Company and the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts. Whitney studied theatre for a semester at the School of English and Drama at Queen Mary University of London, England.

Abigail Whitney is the Artistic Theatre Director of ‘the youth,’ a Black Youth-led contemporary Arthouse. 'the youth' is a collaborative effort of emerging Black creators, whom are interested in the production of new-generational, inclusive narratives within the Canadian film, visual & theatre industry.

Whitney is the 2019-2020 Assistant Artistic Director of The St. Michael's College Troubadours at The University of Toronto.

Whitney is the Artistic Director of University of Toronto's St. Michael's College Troubardours' production of Guys & Dolls that premiered February 2020.
